Thank you

Milestone

This is truly humbling and overwhelming all at the same time. In almost 4 months I have 1000 followers on my Instagram account and almost 400 on my Facebook Page.

4 months ago I started my Blog http://www.maronitemum.com and this account with one purpuse: to have a safe (and sometimes funny) space for all mothers to look at and say: “this is me” “I just did that” “my kid is exactly the same”… but not just a place for mums doing what mums do, but for CATHOLIC, for MARONITE CATHOLIC mums, specially made for them from someone like them.

There are many groups out there, many blogs, many pages for mums who share their struggle, their fears, etc. But if something I’ve learnt in my almost 4 years as a mum is, well, that I don’t know ANYTHING if it doesn’t come from God. If it wasn’t for HIM I wouldn’t have being able to do the little I’ve done in this short period of time… hey! My kids are not even at school yet and I have parents with teenagers following and more.

I am in this journey WITH you but FOR you too. I learn from ALL of you because Motherhood is a heavy mission for God, but it is the MOST important in the world because we are raising the next Maronite Catholic generation. You might be raising the next Sister Lucia from Fatima, or the next Padre Pio, or Blessed Carlo Acutis, or the next St. Therese de Lisieux… and who knows? Maybe even the next Pope. What did all of them had in common?? Wasn’t the amount of money, or the country they were born, or the year they were born… The common denominator was a MUM, a Father, a FAMILY who loved them and encouraged their Faith.

Mumma, that is all God asks from you: love the kids He gave you, and raise them to LOVE HIM. Once they are in that Path, God will handle the rest.

Love,

Liza, a Maronite Mum
